TN: SC refuses to stall AIADMK's July 11 meet
The Supreme Court has green-flagged the AIADMK's general council meeting on July 11, virtually paving the way for Edappadi K Palaniswami's ascension as the party general secretary and dealing a body blow to the O Panneerselvam faction which sought to stall the meeting on grounds of violation of party rules. Staying the wee-hour order of the Madras high court, the apex court also ticked off the court below for having curtailed the general council proceedings on June 23.
