Taking forward the debate over federalism, Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin on Tuesday opposed the Centre’s proposed amendment to the Cinematograph Act, 1952, charging that the amendment sought to restore the revisionary powers of the Union government, which was struck down by the Supreme Court two decades ago.
