Graft case: Velumani's plea to be heard by spl bench

Over 10 days after the then chief justice Munishwar Nath Bhandari-led first bench held that it would hear two petitions quash corruption cases against former AIADMK minister SP Velumani, the present first bench transferred the cases to a special bench hearing cases against MLAs and MPs. The first bench of Acting Chief Justice M Duraiswamy and Justice Sundar Mohan said the cases would now be heard by a special bench headed by Justice P N Prakash. It, however, extended an interim order of stay restraining the directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption from filing final report in the cases registered against the minister.
