Chief selector Agarkar explains Ashwin's inclusion for Australia ODIs
Veteran Ravichandran Ashwin and Washington Sundar, both off-spinners and handy lower-order batters, on Monday were included in the squad for Australia ODIs in a sign that they may be back in contention for the home World Cup. Ashwin, India's preferred spinner in Test cricket, played the last of his 113 one-day internationals in January 2022 and was left out of the provisional squad announced earlier this month.
