That's it from us folks!

It was a mammoth win for Afghanistan, and they'll be feeling quite positive about their start to the Super 12 stage. On the other hand, Scotland will need to reflect on where it all went wrong for them and come up with some answers. Do make sure to tune back in tomorrow, as we bring to you more exciting action from the T20 World Cup! Until then, goodbye and goodnight!

22:45 (IST)

Mohammad Nabi: "This was our plan, to bat first and have a big score. The way our openers finished the powerplay with a good score and then Gurbaz and Zadran rotated the strike really well. Rashid and Mujeeb are two of the best in the world. It's a strong team and hopefully we'll keep winning. It was Mujeeb's first game in T20 World Cup and he got Player of the Match."

22:39 (IST)

Kyle Coetzer: Clearly, it wasn't one of our better days. We've been playing good cricket to get to this stage. This is the sighter for us, this is what the level is at this stage. We have to give them a lot of credit today, but there were some good performances from our guys, like Mark Watt.

We fought hard in the field, but it was a real level check. I think we'll be better for it, and we'll improve going on. We'll take some time to reflect, and then we'll be raring to go.

We don't want the guys to go back to the hotel and slink away to their hotel rooms. We want to be together, we want to acknowledge the defeat.

22:30 (IST)

Mujeeb ur Rahman, PoTM: It's my first world Cup man of the match, so it's very special. We've had fans here cheering for us, thanks to them. Fans with the Afghanistan flag gave us positive energy, helped us play good cricket.

22:27 (IST)

Afghanistan win by 130 runs!

After 11 overs,Scotland 60/10 ( Safyaan Sharif 3 , )

Rashid to bowl his third over now. He's already picked up two in two, can he do it again? Yes! OUT! It clips Josh Davey high up on his hamstring, and the umpire's fingers go up straight away! Scotland review this, but there's no edge and it's hitting the wickets! OUT! Rashid Khan gets Wheal's wicket off the very next ball!  Afghanistan rout Scotland to win by 130 runs! Mujeeb-ur-Rahman and Rashid Khan pick up five and four wickets respectively, it's been an excellent all-round performance from Afghanistan and they've well and truly announced themselves!

22:13 (IST)

After 9 overs,Afghanistan 79/1 ( Hazratullah Zazai 42 , Rahmanullah Gurbaz 10)

Rashid Khan's second over. Begins with a single, before Greaves finds the boundary rope with a reverse sweep for FOUR! A couple of singles, and then OUT! Another wicket for Rashid Khan! Chris Greaves tries the reverse sweep, but completely misses the ball, and it whacks his pad. Single to end the over.

22:09 (IST)

After 8 overs,Scotland 46/7 ( Chris Greaves 8 , Josh Davey 1)

Mujeeb to bowl his final over, can he add to his four-wicket haul? Three dots to begin, all of them have looked very very dangerous. Single off the fourth ball, and it's almost a run out, but Mujeeb's throw is off target, and more importantly, also in an area without any fielders. That's five runs from the overthrow! Oh, OUT! Five-fer for Mujeeb-ur-Rahman! He's been absolutely unplayable tonight, and he gets the wicket of Mark Watt, that's bowled! Single to end the over, Mujeeb's night comes to an end with figures of 4-0-20-5.

22:03 (IST)

After 7 overs,Scotland 40/6 ( Chris Greaves 3 , Mark Watt 1)

Wow. Scotland are five wickets down, and only now will they face Rashid Khan. He strikes on the third ball! That looked plumb, it rattled off Leask's pads, looked quite straightforward. Scotland review, but it doesn't change anything, things go from bad to worse for them. Dot and two singles to end the over.

21:58 (IST)

After 6 overs,Afghanistan 55/1 ( Hazratullah Zazai 30 , Rahmanullah Gurbaz 0)

Mujeeb to bowl again. Starts with a dot, before being hit for SIX by Munsey over deep square leg. Munsey has scored most of Scotland's runs so far, can he stay on and build a good partnership? Nope. OUT! Mujeeb-ur-Rahman strikes yet again! Munsey departs after having his off stump clattered by a gorgeous delivery. Dot, single and dot to end the over.

21:52 (IST)

After 5 overs,Scotland 30/4 ( George Munsey 19 , Michael Leask 0)

Naveen to bowl a second over, dot, wide and single to begin. OH WHAT A CATCH! Naveen-ul-Haq gets the wicket thanks to a lovely, flying catch from Shahzad! Matthew Cross got a thick edge on the ball, and Shahzad dived acrobatically to his right to take it. Three dots to end the over, and Scotland are struggling here.

21:46 (IST)

After 4 overs,Afghanistan 30/0 ( Hazratullah Zazai 18 , Mohammad Shahzad (W) 10)

Mujeeb's second over now, and he starts with a single. Oh, bowled em! Kyle Coetzer is sent back to the dugout by Mujeeb Ur Rahman! He cleaned up the Scottish batter with the wrong 'un, which evaded Coetzer and lit up the stumps. OUT! Two wickets in two balls for Mujeeb Ur Rahman! This time he traps Calum MacLeod LBW and the umpire's finger goes up right away. Scotland review, but to no avail! Mujeeb on a hattrick, a few slips in place here, but it's just a dot. Another dot follows, and then another wicket! OUT! Richie Berrington is trapped LBW by Mujeeb, what an over this is! In the blink of an eye, Scotland are in deep, deep trouble.

21:36 (IST)

After 3 overs,Scotland 27/0 ( George Munsey 17 , Kyle Coetzer (C) 10)

Naveen to bowl a third over, and Coetzer is off the mark, he runs two. Oh, great delivery from Naveen, Coetzer came down the track and Naveen sent it past his bat and onto his pads. The umpire doesn't think that's LBW, Afghanistan's players decide to review. No bat on it, but the impact was outside the line, and it was probably missing wickets as well. FOUR! Slower ball, and it's whacked down the ground by Coetzer. Oh well bowled, moving into Coetzer's body, and it goes right through the Scottish batter for a dot. Another dot, and then FOUR again, Coetzer picked his spot at the straight boundary.

21:29 (IST)

After 2 overs,Scotland 17/0 ( George Munsey 17 , Kyle Coetzer (C) 0)

Mujeeb to bowl the second over, he begins with two dots and then Munsey hits him for FOUR over midwicket! Great start this from the Scotland batter, his captain at the other end is yet to face a single ball!. Munsey then runs two. A couple of dot balls, and Coetzer will finally face his first delivery in the third over.

21:26 (IST)

After 1 overs,Scotland 11/0 ( George Munsey 11 , Kyle Coetzer (C) 0)

Mohammad Nabi to open the bowling. His first delivery is a dot, and then George Munsey shows very early signs of intent with a FOUR! It was a very well executed sweep. Oh, he goes one better with a SIX off the next ball! A reverse sweep and the top edge has more than enough power on it to carry it over the ropes. Two dots and a single to end the over.

21:13 (IST)

After 20 overs,Afghanistan 190/4 ( Mohammad Nabi (C) 11 , )

Alright then, final over and it's Sharif who will bowl it. Starts with a double and then a single. FOUR! Nabi pulls it in the air behind square and it races away to the boundary rope. A single, and then a massive SIX, that narrowly missed hitting the roof by only a couple of metres or so! Thundered over long-on by Najib! Final ball, and Najib ends up hitting straight into the hands of Wheal at deep midwicket. Afghanistan end on 190/4!

21:09 (IST)

After 19 overs,Afghanistan 176/3 ( Najibullah Zadran 50 , Mohammad Nabi (C) 6)

Josh Davey to bowl his fourth over. Double and single to begin, and then OUT! Rahmanullah Gurbaz's time comes to an end after holing out to Coetzer at extra cover! He's done well to keep Afghanistan scoring runs at a consistent rate, but he can't see it through. Josh Davey picks up the wicket. Single off the next ball and fifty for Najibullah Zadran! He and Gurbaz put together an excellent partnership, and they've adapted very well to whatever Scotland have thrown their way

20:54 (IST)

After 17 overs,Afghanistan 152/2 ( Rahmanullah Gurbaz 46 , Najibullah Zadran 34)

Wheal's final over, single to begin and then a big six! It's plastered over long-on, there was some real venom in that shot. A well-run double of the next ball, but there's some debate over whether it was a short run. Replay shows it was legitimate. Oh no wait! At the other end, Najib's bat was a couple of inches short of the crease. That's just a single, second time it's happened in the match. Oh nice work! Gurbaz whacks it high and long, it's hit down the ground with aplomb for SIX! Two singles to end the over, and that brings up the 150 mark for Afghanistan.

20:47 (IST)

After 16 overs,Afghanistan 136/2 ( Rahmanullah Gurbaz 32 , Najibullah Zadran 33)

Sharif to bowl his third over now. Single off the first ball. Najib and Gurbaz have built a nice little partnership here. Another single and then a huge SIX, stand and deliver! It's a shorter delivery, and Najib sends that soaring over long-on! That was 100 metres on the money. Two dots follow, then a single.

20:33 (IST)

After 13 overs,Afghanistan 111/2 ( Rahmanullah Gurbaz 22 , Najibullah Zadran 18)

Greaves to bowl. Two singles to start, and that's 100 runs for Afghanistan. Oh good awareness from Greaves, he saw Gurbaz shuffling over and he pitched it up for a full toss to catch him out, just a dot. Gurbaz hits a SIX! Short side of the ground, and he gets down on one knee to slog it over the midwicket boundary! A single and then a four, that was swept fine with ease by Najib!

20:29 (IST)

After 12 overs,Afghanistan 98/2 ( Rahmanullah Gurbaz 14 , Najibullah Zadran 13)

Wheal's third over now. Starts with a single, and then once again, a beautifully run double. These two are getting in a lot of cardio today. Single and then the ball hits Gurbaz's body and flies off into the hands of the point fielder. A couple of people thought that was out, but the confusion is quickly resolved. Single and then powerfully cut away for FOUR by Najib, that one was whacked through backward point.

20:25 (IST)

After 11 overs,Afghanistan 89/2 ( Rahmanullah Gurbaz 12 , Najibullah Zadran 6)

Greaves to bowl. Gurbaz runs a very quick single off the first ball and then some good fielding from the cover fielder prevents a possible boundary. Another dot, and then FOUR for Najib, what a way to get off the mark! It's whacked over covers, one bounce and then across the boundary rope. A dot ball follows, and then there's a review for run out! That looked close it did, but the replay quite clearly shows that Najib was safe by a foot or so, thanks to his desperate dive.

20:21 (IST)

After 10 overs,Afghanistan 82/2 ( Rahmanullah Gurbaz 11 , Najibullah Zadran 0)

Watt's second over now. Dot and a single to start. Oh good running from the two, Zazai hit that to deep midwicket, and then sprinted for a double. BOWLED' EM! Watt gets the breakthrough, the dangerman Hazrat Zazai is sent back tot he dugout! The ball is gorgeous, a quicker one looped into Zazai's feet, who diverts it onto the stumps in a desperate attempt to sort out his feet. Dot to end the over. Can Afghanistan bounce back and regain their momentum?

20:14 (IST)

After 9 overs,Afghanistan 79/1 ( Hazratullah Zazai 42 , Rahmanullah Gurbaz 10)

Davey with his second over, the first one is a belter of a delivery and Rahmanullah can just defend it. The second delivery isn't pitched quite as well, and it's whacked for a four, pulled through a gap at deep midwicket. A double follows, and then a wide. That was just a hair wide of the line. A single and a double, Afghanistan are doing well at the moment to keep alternating and keep the scoreboard ticking. Oh, big top edge for Zazai, and shouts of 'catch it' go up, but the ball lands safely and the pair run two,

20:09 (IST)

After 8 overs,Afghanistan 67/1 ( Hazratullah Zazai 38 , Rahmanullah Gurbaz 3)

Greaves gets a go with the ball. A dot and then a SIX! Zazai slogs to mid-wicket, that was huge. Ooooh, almost a runout there, the Afghanistan pair attempted a quick single, but a slight mixup nearly cost them a wicket. A dot, and then a hard-run double. Single to end the over.

20:02 (IST)

After 6 overs,Afghanistan 55/1 ( Hazratullah Zazai 30 , Rahmanullah Gurbaz 0)

Boundary to begin the final over of the powerplay, Shahzad hit that sweetly past third man. A double and two singles follow, before Shahzad is sent packing! He ȟoles out to deep midwicket! Chris Greaves takes the catch with ease and Safyaan Sharif picks up the wicket.

19:55 (IST)

After 5 overs,Afghanistan 46/0 ( Hazratullah Zazai 29 , Mohammad Shahzad (W) 15)

Brad Wheal's second over now, he was quite economical in the first, can he continue that? Nope, he's been hit for a six and a four off the first two balls! The six was sent way into the stands over deep mid-wicket. The four was cut through point excellently. Dot and a single follow, then boundary to deep midwicket, it's a four! Single to end the over.

19:51 (IST)

After 4 overs,Afghanistan 30/0 ( Hazratullah Zazai 18 , Mohammad Shahzad (W) 10)

Josh Davey to bowl his first over now. Shahzad begins with a single, and then a dot ball. Zazai runs a quick single. Slower ball now from Davey, and it's a single. Good shot from Zazai, that's FOUR! He takes a big swing and finds the square third man area completely vacated. Single to end the over.

19:45 (IST)

After 3 overs,Afghanistan 22/0 ( Hazratullah Zazai 12 , Mohammad Shahzad (W) 8)

Sharif to bowl the third over. Starts with two dots, which is great because the second over was quite expensive. 18 runs came off it, with one four and two sixes. Two more dots follow, and then Zazai manages to run a single and get off strike. Wide down the leg side. Dot to end the over, it's a great recovery for Scotland.

19:36 (IST)

After 1 overs, Afghanistan 2/0 ( Hazratullah Zazai 1 , Mohammad Shahzad (W) 0)

Wheal gets us underway with the bowling. Hazratullah Zazai and Mohammad Shahzad out for Afghanistan. The over begins with a dot, followed by a wide. Three more dots follow, this is a pretty good over so far. Another dot, Zazai can't get it away. A single off the last ball, just two from the first over.

19:05 (IST)

Afghanistan win the toss and opt to bat

"The wicket is dry and good for batting. We'll try to put a score on the board and then try to restrict them. Our first warm up game wasn't good, but we played really well against the West Indies. We'll try our best here." - Mohammad Nabi

18:55 (IST)

Pitch Report - Anjum Chopra and Bazid Khan

"There are a few patches of brown on the pitch, and it doesn't seem like a threat of the batters. One side is shorter than the other, so you will expect batters to target the shorter side, which we've seen in the previous game. It's not just about the pitch, it's about match-ups and which bowler should bowl from which end."

Pakistan defeat exposes India's undercooked batting unit

Finally, at the 13th time of asking, Pakistan got the better of India in an ICC World Cup showdown. Whether it was worth the wait, only they can say, but there is no doubting the chutzpah which accompanied their ten-wicket routat the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday night.

India’s unbeaten run against their cross-border opponents had to end at some stage. It’s little short of remarkable that for a dozen contests spread over 29 and a half years, they kept a clean sheet against the most mercurial of international cricket sides in World Cups of both limited-overs variants. Few, though, would have bargained for the manner in which the most one-sided record in cricket World Cup history was marginally redressed.

The discerning will comprehend that the surprise of the night, if any, stemmed not so much from Pakistan eventually managing to put it past India, but that they did so by ten wickets. This wasn’t self-destructing, imploding, pressure-phobic Pakistan. If anything, their cricket was more Indian than India’s, their approach the most judicious blend of searing fire and ice cool which dampened their opponents’ enthusiasm from the off.

Scotland's bowling has been a big positive for them as the likes of Bradley Wheal and Josh Davey have been impressive while left-arm spinner Mark Watt has also been effective in the middle overs.

I think we are going to make a few upsets. I don't see why not. We've done it before. We've beaten the best ODI team (England) in the world, we've beaten Bangladesh just there. I think we're on a really good run of form," Watt said.
